I am a student so please keep money in mind. I do not have spare parts from my old computer anymore because I left it in my other house in California. I have spent the last 5 hours trying to figure this out. Or does it have to do with the motherboard possibly not having a PCI-e? The motherboard in the new computer is a Dell-08wkv3 and I have tried googling to see if it has a PCI-e and I cant find anything. I have tried looking at the events in the properties tab of the PCI serial port and it shows this "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C3D&SUBSYS_05A51028&REV_04". I tried updating driver, reset my whole pc and everything you can think of on google The drivers in my device manager under "other devices" showed two sections 1) PCI serial port and 2) PCI simple communications controller, both with yellow exclamation points on them. I started up my game I was expecting an FPS gain because the better CPU + 1060 3gb.

So I plugged both of the power supplies in. I bought a power supply for the GPU but it didn't have a cord to connect the power. I panicked because I didn't see a cable for the GPU. One cable for power to the motherboard and the other was for something else. When I got the PC, the Power supply had two cables. I opened up the case of the new computer and I felt like I fucked up. I had a 1060 3gb that I used in my old computer with a shitty CPU (AMD F圆300) in it. I have an older computer that I took my SSD from and added it to the new computer. I ordered the computer and thought I could utilize the CPU and upgrade around it. If you were to look it up on Ebay it would be a "Dell 7020 i7-4790 Minitower". So I bought a Pc from Ebay that has the specs of an i7-4790, 8gb of RAM, and 2tb HDD.
